Aussie Rock Royalty to perform at Bondi Beachfest this November!

Bondi Beachfest 2016 is going to be a MASSIVE beach party that's simply not to be missed!
Get ready Sydney for one MASSIVE beach party when the 2nd installment of Bondi Beachfest comes to Bondi on Saturday November 12th 2016! ARIA Hall of Famers and Aussie rock royalty ICEHOUSE will headline the day with Australian Crawl and Hunters & Collectors mainstays James Reyne and Mark Seymour teaming up in support. The 7-hour music festival will continue with an incredibly talented line-up of local heroes including the uber-talented Josh Pyke, Natalie Bassingthwaighte with Rogue Traders, Ash Grunwald and William Crighton, all gracing the stage which is literally on the beach at Bondi Beach.
It’s going to be one of the best arvos by the beach you could ever have.
Along with live performances from ICEHOUSE, James Reyne, Mark Seymour, Josh Pyke, Rogue Traders, Ash Grunwald and William Crighton, there will also be a Surfing Exhibition and a fabulous array of market and food stalls on location for the duration of the event.
With a career spanning over 30 years, ICEHOUSE continue to delight with their music and are well-known and loved by audiences across generations so they are the perfect band to headline Bondi Beachfest 2016. A festival on the beach full of music with the wonderful backdrop of sand, surf and sun that is suitable for the whole family!
ICEHOUSE, who has sold nine million records world-wide and have been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, will no doubt bring all their hits including Great Southern Land, Crazy and Electric Blue to the stage. This will be a rare opportunity to see this great Australian band on the big stage on the sand at Bondi. This will be their only festival show in Sydney for 2016 and will be a show not to be missed!
Coming off their sold out Sydney shows, James Reyne and Mark Seymour will bring their extraordinary catalogue of some of Australia’s most loved songs to the beach! There is no better setting than listening to the classics from iconic bands Hunters and Collectors and Australian Crawl. In a semi acoustic format, both artists will deliver a set of their unique Australian songs we all know and love, along with a few surprises!
In a league of his own, he is one of Australia’s premier singer / songwriters. Josh Pyke will bring his modern day storytelling to the stage with his warm melodies and intelligent lyrics. Throughout his momentous career Josh has received four ARIA Awards, with a further nine nominations, and has had nine songs appear in triple j’s Hottest 100 countdowns.
Marrying rock energy with electronic euphoria, the Rogue Traders featuring actress and former X Factor Judge Natalie Bassingthwaighte will perform all of their hits including Voodoo Child, I Never Liked You and In Love Again. Spanning a history of more than 15 years, yet remaining as vital and boundless as they ever have been - the Rogue Traders have established themselves as one of the most successful bands in recent Australian Music History. Notching up six top ten hits and multiple platinum selling albums, the Rogue Traders will bring a party to Bondi with their own mashup of fiery rock riffs and cutting edge house music.
What better place to see Ash Grunwald as the sun starts to go down over Bondi Beach! With his funky, heavy, rootsy soul beats and rustic soul voice, Ash will bring his exciting and hypnotic blues sounds to Beachfest as he rarely lets a good groove go to waste! At the forefront of success in the Australian music scene, Ash has been nominated for six ARIA awards and three APRA awards, winning two of the latter.
For the last few years the buzz has been building for William Crighton and his songs and live performances. A son of the Riverina, William Crighton's work is relentless in its navigation of life. Opening the festival this year he will be joined by his partner in life and music, wife Jules on backing vocals. They will perform songs off his mesmerising debut album.
